A person was seen running away from the scene shortly after a car crashed into a telegraph pole and caught fire early this morning.
Firefighters were called to Laycock Lane at around 1.30am to deal with the blaze but it had burnt itself out.
They disconnected the battery of the Nissan Micra to make it safe.
Keighley Fire Station crew manager Andy McCann said: “We were called to the scene by police who said a suspect had been seen running away from the incident.”
Police are now investigating.
