Arsonists are suspected of torching a terrace house in Keighley early this morning.
Firefighters were called to the unoccupied property at Nashville Road just after 1am when neighbours’ homes began to fill with smoke.
Two appliances from Keighley fire station attended and two hose reels were used to extinguish the flames, which were mainly contained to the basement.
Watch manager Mark Whitaker said: “We suspect the fire was ignited deliberately and have informed the police and the Fire Investigation Unit, who are now investigating.
“The kitchen basement had about five per cent damage to it and the neighbours’ houses were smoke logged.”
