Two men are in police custody and being quizzed by detectives about a shooting in a residential area of Keighley.
The arrests were made late Wednesday afternoon following the gun blast aimed at a house in Eel Holme View Street in the Beechcliffe area of the town some hours earlier.
Armed officers were sent to the scene after gunfire was reported by people in the area and a car was found abandoned in the street.
The street was sealed off as detectives started the investigation into what was understood to be two shots.
The inquiry is being led by Superintendent Gary Baker, of Airedale and North Bradford Police.
Officers say the target for the attack at about 9.30am was a house where there was damage to a front door from pellets which could be seen.
No-one was injured and a vehicle connected to the incident was recovered nearby.
