A woman from Cross Hills has been recognised for her 25 years of service as a lollipop lady.
Margaret Lund, pictured, has been helping youngsters from Glusburn Community Primary School to cross Colne Road since January 13, 1986.
Mrs Lund, who lives on Ryeland Street, said she found it hard to imagine that she started when her youngest child was only five years old. She is now 30.
Lynn Ashton, community cohesion co-ordinator at the school, said the school paid tribute to Mrs Lund at an assembly where she was presented with flowers and a card made by the pupils.
“She’s like an auntie for the children,” said Mrs Ashton.
