Firefighters tackled a blazing cooker on the 10th floor of Leylands House in Parkwood Rise, Keighley.
They were called to the high-rise complex yesterday afternoon after an automatic fire alarm sounded.
The fire caused smoke damage and paramedics treated the woman occupant at the scene for smoke inhalation.
A spokesman for Keighley fire station warned people to take care when cooking and ensure they had an escape plan in case of fire.
Firefighters will visit Keighley homes to fit free smoke alarms and help people devise escape plans. Visits can be booked on 0800 587 4536.
