A van demolished a traffic light in a road smash near Morrisons supermarket in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters cut the roof off the vehicle to rescue two of its occupants following the 2.30am collision on Worth Way near its junction with Alkincote Street.
The fire crew worked for about an hour on the vehicle.
The two injured people were taken to Airedale hospital, one with a broken collarbone. No other vehicle was involved in the accident.
