North Ribblesdale 23, Keighley 20
Keighley’s indifferent away form led to a narrow defeat at North Ribblesdale, in spite of a hat-trick of tries for scrum half Lucas Uren.
Indiscipline allowed the home side to grab 17 points while Keighley had players in the sin bin. Centre Dan Watson and forward Tom Clay crossed for tries and stand-off Will Davidson added two conversions and a penalty.
Stand-off Alex Brown’s penalty goal edged Keighley ahead in the closing minutes before two penalties by Davidson established a three-point lead for the Dalesmen.
The home pack resisted a final onslaught by Keighley as the visitors spurned two penalty kicking options in favour of a push for the match-winning try.
A tremendous defensive effort allowed Ribblesdale to hang on for victory.
