At first glance of the title you could be mistaken for thinking this story is about athletes preparing for next year's Olympics.
However Gold Seekers is actually based in 17th century Cornwall and the story centres on Jude a 12-year-old boy who can sense the presence of gold.
When Jude loses his parents, he and his cat Byasen are kidnapped by a scary, one eyed man called Uncle Momo. It is then his adventures begin.
Gold Seekers takes a while to get off the blocks but then becomes more exciting and interesting as the story develops.
Jude and Byasen communicate with each other through their thoughts and together they experience the good and the bad.
They encounter pirates, djinns, talking cats and sea captains but it is Jude's special gift of finding gold that may possibly rescue them from harm.
Read it and see if you would award it Gold, Silver or Bronze!
