Early opening is to be trialled this summer at the Keighley Leisure Centre Clubactive gym.
From Monday, July 2, the gym will open at 7am for Clubactive members and 7.30am for swimmers on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
The trial runs until August 31, but if successful, the earlier opening will become permanent.
Councillor Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council’s executive member for sport and leisure, said: “We want more people to take regular exercise, but we recognise that it’s not always easy to fit it into a busy day. By opening early, we hope that more residents will be able to use the gym’s excellent facilities to keep fit and stay healthy.”
The Clubactive gym offers high-tech training equipment including pulse rowers, cycles, steppers and cross trainers.
