Police are appealing for witnesses following an alleged attempted robbery of two boys near Lund Park in Keighley.

Two teenagers approached the boys, aged 12 and 11, at about 9pm last Friday near the park entrance on Malsis Road.

One of the assailants allegedly demanded the 12-year-old’s phone and then punched him. The victim managed to flee without handing over his phone, but needed treatment for a facial injury.

The first suspect was Asian, aged 16 to 18, 5ft 3ins tall, and chubby with dark hair. He was wearing a white/grey hooded zip-up jacket and a black T-shirt underneath. The second suspect was Asian, aged 16 to 18, and taller and slimmer than the other person. His hair was short at the back and sides, and he was wearing black trousers with a black hooded zip-up waterproof jacket.

An 18-year-old man was last weekend arrested in connection with the incident.

Witnesses should contact Airedale and North Bradford CID on (01535) 617083.
