A man was allegedly assaulted and robbed of his mobile phone following a confrontation with two youths in Keighley.
Police were called to Mornington Street, close to the town centre, at 11.30am on Monday.
A spokesman for Airedale and North Bradford Police said: “Enquiries are at an early stage but it is currently believed a 21-year-old man was assaulted after a confrontation with two youths in the area and suffered facial injuries.
“Following the assault it is believed one of the two took the man’s mobile phone which had fallen out of his pocket.”
Inspector Tony Reed, of the Keighley Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “We are conducting inquiries into this offence and officers have recovered CCTV which will be examined for potential evidence.
“An assault in broad daylight on one of our town centre streets is clearly a serious matter.”
