A teenager from Oakbank School has been named student of the year in a Keighley college’s pre-16 vocational education awards.
Ella Wells is among hundreds of students who take part-time courses at the Keighley Campus of Leeds City College.
She received the accolade recently at the Campus’s awards evening, and was invited to Leeds City College’s main awards ceremony.
She has been taking a diploma level course in public services.
The Keighley event recognised the hard work, effort and commitment students gave towards their learning during their two-year courses.
Students from schools including Oakbank, University Academy Keighley, Holy Family, Ilkley Grammar and Parkside have been studying construction, fabrication and welding, hair and beauty, public services and travel and tourism at the Keighley Campus.
