Woman is hurt during robbery

A woman was left with a bruised eye after she was assaulted during a robbery.

Airedale and North Bradford Police say she was walking alone along Devonshire Street West, Keighley, at 9.45pm last Thursday when she was approached by two men.

The victim was tripped and assaulted before the men fled with her pink leather purse in the direction of Drewry Road.

Officers say she was left shocked by the incident and had a bruised eye.

The first suspect is described as an Asian male, in his 20s, of slim build, with spiky black hair and wearing a black hooded top.

The second was an Asian male, wearing black Rockport boots. He had a deep voice.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman appealed for witnesses. Anyone with information should call DC Alexis Towers on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
