Young performers from South Craven could play their part in a show celebrating six decades of fashion, music and dance.
Weekly workshops are now being held for 11-to-19-year-olds wanting to get involved in the production, Diamonds on the Soles of their Shoes.
The show is being staged in Harrogate on Wednesday, October 31, and at Glusburn Community and Arts Centre on Friday, November 2.
The workshops are organised by North Yorkshire County Council’s Youth Support Service, which is particularly looking for dancers, singers, aspiring fashion or costume designers, models and make-up artists. It would also welcome adults able to help make costumes.
The workshops are at Trax Young People’s Centre, Harrogate, on Mondays from 5pm to 7.30pm for designing and making costumes/props and doing stage make-up; at Skipton Youth Centre on Tuesdays from 6.30pm to 9pm for dance/ band/fashion/singing and at Starbeck Youth Centre, Harrogate, on Thursdays from 5pm to 7.30pm for dance/singing.
