Teenage sailors from across the region took to the water last Saturday at Doe Park reservoir in Denholme.
Doe Park Water Activities Centre was the setting for the Yorkshire and Humberside Youth Sailing Association competition.
The event, held at Doe Park for the first time in five years, was hosted by Bradford Council in conjunction with Denholme Sailing Club.
As part of the centre’s Royal Yachting Association onboard programme, a rookie fleet sailed alongside the main fleet to give youngsters with little or no racing experience the chance to learn new skills.
Coun Andrew Thornton, the Council’s executive member for sport and leisure, said Doe Park was the perfect setting for the event which gave young people the opportunity to compete against teams from across the region.
The Yorkshire and Humberside Youth Sailing Association holds events regionally between April and October.
