Keighley’s swimming pool is to close for two months while essential maintenance work is carried out in the plant room.
The pool will be shut from Monday, November 5, until Wednesday, January 2.
Other facilities at Keighley Leisure Centre – the Clubactive Fitness Centre, sports hall, squash courts, sauna and steam rooms – will be unaffected.
The work includes the replacement of gas boilers with energy efficient ones and a new main control panel, hot water and swimming pool chlorifiers and water pressurisation unit.
Hot water will not be available in the leisure centre during the first four weeks of the work and information notices for customers will be displayed.
Coun Andrew Thornton, Bradford Council's executive member for environment and sport, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience but this work has to be done. We have picked the quietest two months of the year to carry out the work in order to minimise disruption.”
The nearest alternative Council pools are at Bingley, Ilkley and Shipley.
