BRANWELL Brontë’s childhood scribblings and doodlings are the subject of a talk at the Brontë Parsonage Museum.

Dispelling The Myth: An Exploration Of Branwell’s Juvenilia is the title of the first Tuesday afternoon talk of 2017 at the Haworth museum.

Emma Butcher, from the University of Hull, will tell how Branwell’s poetry and prose embodied a spirit and imagination that was the equal of his sisters.

She will explore some of his most interesting work, letting listeners re-evaluate the often-neglected member of the Brontë family.

Visit bronte.org.uk/whats on for further information. The talk is free with admission to the museum.
