A Keighley car dealer is driving on the road to Rio.
Colin Appleyard has taken on Paralympic cyclist David Stone as its Nissan Ambassador.
David has been given use of a Nissan Qashqai as part of the sponsorship deal with the Japanese car manufacturer.
In return, he will take part in an Audience With David Stone event for Appleyard’s, when customers will be able to meet him and ask questions.
David will also attend a Colin Appleyard Tour de France event at their Keighley showroom on July 7.
David, who lives in Rawdon, started cycling in 1995, and went on to win two gold medals at the Beijing Paralympics plus a further gold and bronze at the London Games.
Nissan is one of the Rio Olympics official sponsors, and is supporting promising athletes in their preparations for the Games.
David said: “I’m extremely proud to have this partnership with both Nissan and Colin Appleyard.
“Getting sponsors is not easy, so to have the backing of a world-renowned car company is incredible.
“The size of the car will make transporting my trike to races so much easier.”
