BOSSES of a new cafe are chuffed to bits that they can finally open.

It’s taken eight months for Cafe Choux Choux to get up a full head of steam.

The cafe with the train-related name is at Keighley railway station in the former Keighley Musicians Centre premises.

The cafe/bar was opened by Keighley town mayor Graham Mitchell.

It represents a six-figure investment by Worth-Inns which also runs the Cricketers Arms in Coney Lane.

The six figure investment by Worth-Inns a long established local company, is probably the largest single investment in Keighley Railway Station for 40 years, well since the film Yanks.

Project manager Nicola Mitchell said there had been 18 months of negotiations, planning and refurbishment work.

She said: “This has been a long and tiresome project which came about from an idea that goes back 20 years.

“Phase one, Nana Nellies’ deli and milk bar, opened in April this year, but phase two proved to be more complex.”

The owners of Worth-Inns have run public houses within West Yorkshire for many years, but they combine Cafe Choux Choux and Nana Nellies is one of its biggest-ever projects.

The Cricketers Arms specialises in real ales and regularly hosts rock, blues and comedy.
