A NEW funding agreement with NatWest will enable a pharmacy to expand its services.
As part of the initiative, Cross Hills Pharmacy – which shares its Holme Lane premises with the village's group practice – is becoming a limited company.
Support was provided by NatWest healthcare relationship manager, Ollie Long.
Pharmacy owner, Joanne Harris, said: "We can offer customers an integrated, full health service with the pharmacy and practice.
"We pride ourselves on providing old fashioned customer service, which has been lost over the years.
"People want to be involved in their healthcare and we work with customers to find solutions for them."
She added: "I found Ollie to be everything I like about customer services. He was approachable and personable and I feel I got a high standard of service."
Mr Long said: "I was delighted to support Cross Hills Pharmacy in its new funding agreement and I wish the business every success for the future."
Free services provided at the site include blood pressure monitoring, diabetes screening, medicine reviews, and smoking cessation and healthcare advice.
