CASH handouts totalling £500 have been presented to five Keighley-district charitable causes.
Representatives from the organisations attended a handover at the Yorkshire Building Society's Keighley branch, in Low Street.
Each recipient – Beechcliffe School, Keighley Bandwagoners, Airevalley Counselling & Therapy, Manorlands hospice in Oxenhope and Keighley Sea Cadets – was awarded £100.
The money is from the YBS charitable foundation which has distributed £150,000 as part of its annual Make A Difference Week, in celebration of the society’s 150th anniversary.
Customers were asked to nominate charities through their local branch.
Keighley YBS manager Jonathan Thewlis said: "Our annual Make A Difference campaign is always very popular, but this year we’ve been able to support more charities than ever before thanks to the foundation’s generous donation marking the anniversary.
"I'm delighted five worthwhile causes nominated by our members are part of the hundreds of charities the society is supporting throughout the UK."
