LOCAL breweries are being urged to launch their newest ales at the Haworth Beer Festival.

Organisers particularly want to hear from new breweries who would like to showcase their drinks during the spring event.

Kath Thornton, the festival’s founder, wants local real-ale fans to get in touch if they know of any new breweries in the Worth Valley or surrounding towns.

She said: “It could be beers that companies haven’t marketed before. There are new breweries in Hebden Bridge and Bingley, that we’re interested in.”

Haworth Beer Festival, now in its fourth year, will run from April 10 to 12, and will be launched with a corporate event on the first lunchtime.

Kath added: “We will sort things out over the next couple of weeks. We will hope the festival will be even better than last year when we had quite a few award-winning beers and special seasonal ones.”
