CINDERELLA’s fairy godmother is a bank manager when it comes to this year’s Keighley Amateurs pantomime.
Mohammed Naeem, boss of Keighley’s branch of TSB Bank, made a call to head office to ensure Cinders could go to the ball.
The Keighley branch, which employs the pantomime’s co-producer Judith Chapman, sponsored a new ballgown for Cinderella.
Mr Naeem said: “I know Judith is pretty passionate about the amateur dramatic group.
“When I heard they needed some extra money to get this particular dress for Cinderella I thought we would be able to help.
“As a business our company model is looking after and supporting our local communities - the people involved in this show are all local families and many of our customers.”
Cinderella, played by Brogan Hollindrake, will wear a specially-made costume which will enable her to instantly change from rags to ballgown.
Judith said: “I had this idea that if it could be transformed onstage in front of the audience’s eyes it would be magical.”
Cinderella is at Victoria Hall until this Saturday. Tickets are available by visiting keighleyamateurs.co.uk or by calling 08456 252550.
