A KEIGHLEY chippy is serving up support to Manorlands.

Old Time Fisheries donated 30 portions of its award-winning chips for lunch at a hospice 'celebrating success' day.

And the West Lane business, run by Mark and Jane Faichney, is planning several fundraising activities.

The shop – opened eight months ago – has a Manorlands collection can and Mr Faichney will be competing as Spud in the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice's Mascot Gold Cup, at Wetherby racecourse, on April 26.

"We know people who have received excellent care at Manorlands and we are delighted to be able to support such a worthy local cause," said Mr Faichney.

"Our donation of chips was the first of many ways in which we hope to help the hospice and we are very much looking forward to making our debut at the Mascot Gold Cup."

Sue Ryder Keighley fundraiser, Andrew Wood, said the chip lunch had gone down well with staff.

He added: "We are very grateful to Old Time Fisheries for pledging its support to help fund our care in the future."
