BEER runs in the veins of Timothy Taylor's latest recruit Jonathan Barnes.
His father qualified as a cooper at Joshua Tetley before becoming a director of John Smith's and then owning a small chain of pubs.
"From a young age I always wanted to follow in my dad's footsteps," said Jonathan, who will oversee Keighley brewery Taylor's beer sales in North Yorkshire, the north-east, Cumbria and Scotland.
"The trade is very much in my blood and he would be extremely proud to know I've joined Timothy Taylor's.
"Landlord has always been my favourite beer so I'm very excited at the prospect of playing my part in helping to build sales."
He started his career in the drinks industry with wholesalers Yates Brothers and LWC before spending 15 years with continental brewer Budweiser Budvar.
Grant Simpson, Taylor's sales director, said: "Jonathan brings with him vast on-trade experience and knowledge of the area. I'm sure he will be a huge asset to the team."
