A CHARITY golf day in Keighley holed over £2,800 for a children's hospice.

Staff from AWB Charlesworth Solicitors and Pearson Associates joined forces to stage the event, at Keighley Golf Club.

They were joined by 13 other teams for the venture, in aid of Martin House at Boston Spa.

Throughout the day there were several on-course challenges and in the evening a three-course meal, quiz and raffle.

Overall winner was Manse Capital Ltd.

John Haigh, corporate fundraiser at Martin House, said: "Many thanks go to everyone involved in the charity golf day.

"A fantastic amount was raised, which will go a long way to supporting children and young people with life-limiting illnesses – and their families – across the Yorkshire region.

"Our services are provided free of charge, 365 days a year, and families can choose to receive our support in their homes or at the hospice.

"We rely almost entirely on voluntary donations to keep the hospice running, so the support from the golf day is very much appreciated by us all."

The organisers pay tribute to the teams, raffle supporters and hole sponsors for their backing.
