STAFF from a Keighley restaurant have helped clean-up an allotment in the town.

Four colleagues from McDonald's, in Hard Ings Road, joined allotment holders to tidy the Selborne Grove site.

"It was a lovely day and we went equipped to clear weeds and overgrown pathways to help the community enjoy the allotment much more," said Jessica Heaps, the restaurant's 'planet champion'.

"Our effort was all part of a McDonald's campaign, Love Where You Live, which encourages the community to enjoy its local area in a more positive way and engage in fun activities together."

In recent months, McDonald's workers have also spent a day helping with planting at Keighley Tarn and with a litter-pick in the Showfield area.
