A CULLINGWORTH couple are celebrating after their firm was named in the Small Business Saturday (SBS) Top 100 list.

Pennine Cycles is among those nationally ranked by campaign organisers as best reflecting the diversity of Britain's small businesses.

In the run-up to Small Business Saturday itself, on December 5, Pennine Cycles and other winners are featuring on the SBS website – smallbusinesssaturdayuk.com.

"We are thrilled to be included in the list – which highlights the importance of supporting local businesses," said Sandra Corcoran, who runs Pennine Cycles with husband Paul, the managing director.

"We'll be celebrating Small Business Saturday again and this will all coincide with Bike to Work Day."

SBS, which originated in the United States and was launched in the UK two years ago, aims to raise the profile of small independent retailers.
