AN AIREDALE enterprise group which has generated more than £2 million of business for its members has marked its fifth anniversary with a move to a bigger meeting place to cope with future growth.

Airedale Aspire, which has seen £450,000 of business done between its members in the past 12 months, is relocating its meetings from Keighley's Central Hall to Steeton Hall to handle larger numbers.

The group, which covers the Keighley, Skipton, Bingley and Shipley areas, also has members in Addingham and Ilkley.

Jon Crossley, group director, said: “We have come a long way since our first meetings at Keighley Cougars and reaching our fifth birthday is testament to the commitment of our members to making local business and our local economy as successful as possible.

“Word of mouth marketing is still the best way of doing business. People do business with people they know, like and trust, and this philosophy is at the heart of the group.

“Our aim over the next year is to grow the group to 25 members and generate referrals resulting in £1 million of business for members of the group and the local economy.

“We represent a wide variety of business types, including accountants, energy brokers, telecoms and a local charity and anyone who is interested in growing their business is welcome to visit us. ”
