ACORN Stairlifts in Steeton has become the first national stairlift supplier to be awarded the TrustMark accreditation for installation and customer care.

The national accreditation acts as a signpost to help homeowners find local firms and expert tradespeople.

Acorn said Trustmark was the only Government-endorsed scheme for all trades in and around the home, and the only one to inspect work that had been done.

The company said it maintained quality of service to its customers by employing its own highly-skilled teams of installers.

Company secretary Dave Belmont said: “Achieving TrustMark accreditation means a lot to us being an independent endorsement of our commitment to excellence in customer care.

“The ongoing national assessments serve to give our customers greater comfort, confidence and reassurance wherever they live.”

Acorn Stairlifts also recently became the first national stairlift company to receive the Ease-of-Use Commendation by the Arthritis Foundation.

TrustMark is the only scheme that visits domestic premises to inspect the work done. They also speak to those for whom it was done to gain their experience as part of the accreditation process.

Simon Ayers, chief executive of TrustMark, said: “Consumers can also be reassured and confident that they are working with the best in the business.”
