KEIGHLEY social housing group Incommunities has retained a top rating.

It has maintained its so-called V1 viability score following an assessment by regulator the Homes and Communities Agency.

And the group has also kept its maximum rating for the way the organisation is governed.

Geraldine Howley, Incommunities' group chief executive, said: "I am delighted.

"This reflects the collective contribution of staff, board and local management trust members and our customers to work together to continue to drive-up performance.

"It is particularly satisfying in the face of challenging times for the sector.

"I am proud of the level of services we continue to provide and that our regulator recognises the high standards of governance and viability which underpin this."

Dave Procter, Incommunities' group chairman, welcomed the regulators' recognition of the organisation's strengths and progress.

"This rating provides an excellent platform on which to build," he added.
