SOUTH Craven MP Julian Smith has welcomed new tax reforms as "great news" for businesses.
He said the abolition of employer National Insurance contributions for apprentices under 25 will enable companies to invest more in their growth and create jobs.
Also, the employment allowance for businesses and charities has risen and there has been a cut in capital gains tax.
Mr Smith said: "This is making it easier for businesses across my constituency to grow, create jobs and help train young people.
"I have been a strong campaigner for creating apprenticeships for young people and these reforms will support businesses to take on more people and train them so that they can benefit from the security of a regular pay packet."
