A STAIRLIFT company has been crowned Keighley's Responsible Business Champion.
Acorn Stairlifts at Steeton has received a certificate from MP Kris Hopkins, on behalf of the All-Party Parliamentary Corporate Responsibility Group.
The Station Road firm is also in the running for the national title.
A Parliamentary judging panel will select the nationwide winner which will receive the award from Business Secretary Sajid Javid in London on July 6.
Mr Hopkins said: "The title of Keighley Responsible Business Champion recognises the work that Acorn Stairlifts undertakes in supporting the local community and national charities, making a real difference to vulnerable people's lives.
"There has been a large number of entries this year and Acorn has been selected as one of the top 25 companies in what is a very strong field. It is a great achievement."
Dave Belmont, Acorn's company secretary, said the firm was honoured to receive the recognition.
"It is a real endorsement of the work we do within the Keighley constituency and beyond," he added.
"Despite being a multi-national company exporting to more than 80 countries, our roots are still firmly here in the Keighley area."
