A KEIGHLEY events agency which is celebrating its 15th anniversary now counts a global leader in sports technology among its clients.

Catapult Sports, which works with sporting champions across the world, has signed-up the services of Simply Better Events.

And the Keighley team has already completed its first event for the tech giant – an inaugural performance summit at the home of English rugby union, Twickenham.

Around 250 sports professionals and celebrities attended the event, which featured panel debates and speakers – including England's world cup-winning coach, Sir Clive Woodward – on the subject of performance enhancement.

Feedback about the summit has been hugely positive, with the event hashtag #Catapult16 trending on Twitter.

Rob Woodhead, managing director of Simply Better Events, said: "I'm delighted to be working with Catapult in our anniversary year.

"I'm very proud that our business continues to grow and attract new clients of this calibre."

Catapult – which produces wearable technology to monitor and improve athletes' performance – has a long list of famous clients across many sports, including the recently-crowned English Premier League football champions Leicester City and German Bundesliga winners Bayern Munich, plus NFL Super Bowl champs the Denver Broncos.

It is recognised as a world leader in its field – the technology is used by over 16,000 elite athletes and more than 800 teams and institutes, covering nearly 40 sports.

Miranda Knight, for Catapult, said: "We appointed Simply Better Events because we wanted to take our event to the next level with a company and team that we trust.

"#Catapult16 was unforgettable and we're already looking forward to #Catapult17!"

Simply Better Events – founded in 2001 by Chris Holt – creates and stages live events for clients including the Skipton Building Society, Maplin, First Direct and Provident Financial.

Earlier this year, it was named one of the UK's top family businesses.

The company has reached the national finals of the Red Ribbon Awards, which recognise the contribution to the economy of enterprising family firms.

The awards ceremony takes place at Wembley Stadium next month.

To mark its anniversary, the firm will be visiting clients this summer to thank them personally for their support and staging forums aimed at communications specialists.
