WHEN Cross Hills resident Terri Debney-Succoia decided to realise her dream of opening her own ladies clothing boutique, she knew she wanted to create something a little different from your average clothes shop.
While she was researching different designers and clothing suppliers, a well-known building in Cross Hills came up for sale which she thought would be the ideal setting.
Terri and husband Scott entered into a bidding war for the old Yorkshire Bank at the junction of Main Street and Holme Lane and were elated when they were successful.
Scott set about redesigning and refurbishing the building and, in a true labour of love, has managed to take Terri’s design ideas and turn them into a reality.
Terri displays her clothing on a combination of reclaimed and refurbished wooden ladders, handmade wooden racks and even a piece of driftwood which hangs from the ceiling and makes an excellent display rack for her jeans collection.
Other noteworthy design features include the bubble chandeliers and a stunning feature wall of giant tissue paper flowers which Terri made herself.
Of course, the real stars of the show are the clothes themselves and, because Terri is able to hand-pick all the suppliers, she offers something a little different to the usual high street stores.
