A CARE company is celebrating a milestone.
Czajka Care Group – whose homes include Currergate at Steeton and Beanlands, Cross Hills – has now helped educate more than 50 student nurses during a nine-year partnership with the University of Bradford School of Nursing.
The students are provided with placements in homes, usually for between nine and 11 weeks.
Sue Cutts, for Czajka, said: "We provide first-rate hands-on experience, training and mentorship to the student nurses.
"We very much enjoy their enthusiasm and proactive approach to learning, which means they quickly integrate into our team.
"We're committed to a continuous improvement in the services we deliver and welcome all new perspectives, especially those that student nurses can offer."
Tyiba Ali, a first-year student nurse, is currently on placement with the group.
She said: "This is my first clinical placement and I feel I have quickly become part of a very welcoming team.
"It's great to be able to be involved in the nursing care of residents. Some have a range of complex health issues, so I am gaining plenty of experience as I work alongside experienced staff."
