TWO new recruits have joined the car sales team at Colin Appleyard in Keighley.

Sarah Turner, based at the firm's Suzuki dealership, previously worked as PA to the head of operations at Bradford & Bingley Building Society.

Since joining her new employer, she has already won two achievement awards.

"I've known Colin Appleyard and its reputation for excellent customer service for a long time as I've had three cars from them and my mother has had six!" said Sarah.

"Being a bit of a petrol head, when the opportunity arose to work in car sales I jumped at it."

Stephen Bass-Woodcock is working at the company's Nissan dealership, after more than 12 years in the construction industry.

"A friend first introduced me to buying and selling used cars and that whetted my appetite so when I was offered an interview with Appleyard's it was an opportunity I couldn't miss," he said.

Managing director, Robin Appleyard, said: "Both Sarah and Stephen have settled in really well and are proof you don't need to be experienced in car sales to succeed in our business."
