A DEVELOPER with a scheme in Keighley has given another boost to a hospice.

Barratt Homes Yorkshire West – which has the Vision development at North Dean Avenue, Braithwaite – has presented a £1,600 cheque to St Gemma's in Leeds.

The company's latest donation – raised through raffles, bake sales and collection tins – takes to over £30,000 the amount coined-in for the hospice in the past nine years.

"It has been an absolute pleasure to run events and fundraise in support of the charity since we first partnered with it," said Ian Ruthven, Barratt Homes Yorkshire West managing director.

Laura Ferris, corporate fundraiser at St Gemma's, pays tribute to the firm.

"It has been a great supporter of the hospice over the past nine years and we're very grateful for its latest generous donation," she said.

"The money will go a long way towards providing expert medical and emotional support to patients on our wards, in our day hospice and in their own homes."
