A KEIGHLEY print company has received a boost from retail entrepreneur and former Dragons' Den judge Theo Paphitis.

A Twitter message from The Original Co boss, Lance Dentith, was retweeted by the Cypriot-born magnate to his 500,000-or-so followers.

The tweet was among just six weekly winners chosen as part of the Small Business Sunday (SBS) initiative.

As a result, the company gained more than 300 extra followers and new orders for its products.

And it is profiled on the SBS website, theopaphitissbs.com.

Social media is a relatively new marketing tool for the West Lane firm.

Mr Dentith – owner of The Original Co and sister firm LS Prints – said: "If you want to survive, you have to embrace change and new ways of connecting to your customers.

"It is great to have support from such an influential businessman as Theo, especially with the ever-increasing number of print businesses that are popping up.

"This increase in exposure really helps us to show off the quality of our work to a much wider audience."

Mr Paphitis said: "We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK.

"My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS retweet from me becomes part of a friendly club – like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings."
