GERALDINE Howley – group chief executive of Keighley social housing organisation Incommunities – has won a top accolade.
She received the 'landmark achievement' prize in the national Women in Housing Awards.
The awards celebrate the work of women throughout the UK housing sector and this year there were more than 250 nominations across ten categories.
Mrs Howley's nomination submission cited her commitment to improving social housing across the district, supporting staff development, promoting equality, inspiring young people and encouraging customer engagement.
It also highlighted her role in representing the sector at local, national and international levels.
"I am really proud to have won this award," she said.
"To be honoured by your peers feels extremely special.
"I am a strong believer in team work and could not have achieved this without the dedicated support of my management team and staff and our boards."
She was congratulated by Incommunities chairman, Jan Ormondroyd.
"I am delighted for Geraldine on this well-deserved success," she said.
