KEIGHLEY brewery Timothy Taylor is again supporting a popular Lake District festival.

The company will be a partner and the official bar sponsor at the Keswick Mountain Festival, from June 8 to 11.

The event includes sports, outdoor challenges, speakers and live music.

In response to feedback from last year's festival, bar capacity and staff numbers are being doubled.

Taylor's will operate mountain hut, lakeside and garden bars.

In the run-up to the event, the brewery will work with festival organisers to select a variety of cask ales.

Jane Jenkins, head of marketing at Timothy Taylor, said: "We were delighted with the response to having our beers on the festival bar last year.

"Loyal Taylor's fans were very pleased to be able to drink their favourite pint in such beautiful surroundings and we reached a new set of drinkers within our target audience who hadn't heard of us before but really enjoyed what they tried.

"I was very impressed with the festival organisation and friendly feel of the event, so am keen to build our partnership.

"By increasing our involvement and the bar areas on site, we will be able to satisfy more ale drinkers."

The festival also has a second partner, sports gear company Salomon.

Nicola Meadley, the event director, said: "Timothy Taylor's and Salomon were already important sponsors, but this increased level of involvement will allow us to continue improving the visitor experience during the festival.

"Both companies have seen how the event has grown and matured and it is really encouraging that they want to commit additional resources to work with us and help make Keswick Mountain Festival even more memorable."
