AN INITIATIVE has been launched to educate staff in companies across Keighley about how to manage their weight and live a healthier lifestyle.
Experts from ABL Health are teaming up with businesses to deliver a series of free workplace sessions.
Employees are weighed, have BMI and blood pressure checks and receive advice about physical activity and nutrition.
Results are logged and follow-up meetings monitor progress.
“Rising obesity levels across the district are a major concern to health professionals and we’re constantly looking at new ways to combat this,” said Peter Clarke, ABL health programme lead.
“By going into workplaces with our important healthy living messages, employees can engage with us face-to-face and seek any help and support they require.”
