KEIGHLEY-district photographers are being urged to get snapping in a competition staged by manufacturers' organisation EEF.
The annual contest, now in its eighth year, is seeking images which capture the essence of modern manufacturing.
Entries can portray any stage of the process – from design to the finished product – and can cover traditional or high-tech sectors.
There are three categories – professional, amateur and young photographer – with £5,000 in prizes up for grabs.
Submissions will be shortlisted by a panel of photography and industry experts and winners will be announced in December.
Andy Tuscher, EEF regional director, said: "British manufacturing is the beating heart of the economy.
"The photography competition showcases the ingenuity and creativity that takes place in every part of the sector."

The closing date is September 30.
