A SITE manager has scooped a coveted award in his first year working for housebuilder Redrow.
Andrew Wilson, from the firm’s Manor Fields development in Steeton, has received a Pride in the Job Quality Award.
The 39-year-old was among a record number of employees from the company to be awarded the accolade by the National House Building Council.
“I’ve worked as a site manager for about 13 years but I only started at Redrow in the last year – to achieve this accolade so quickly is amazing,” he said.
“It’s been a real team effort with my colleagues from Redrow and various sub-contractors and we’re all really pleased.
“It is even more special as I grew-up in nearby Skipton and I can see Airedale Hospital, where I was born, from the site.
“And although I lived in different parts of Yorkshire for some time, I actually know a couple of the customers who have bought at Manor Fields!”
