WORKERS from home shopping giant Damart – whose warehousing operation is at Steeton – put their best foot forward for charity.
Around 150 staff each completed a mile-long stint and were sponsored by the company.
People unable to take part in the walk made donations through activities including a raffle.
Over £750 was raised for Heart Research UK, Damart’s charity partner.
The cash adds to the £40,000 already raised by the firm through the link-up.
Jo Phipps, employee engagement advisor with Damart, said: “It is great to be able to promote fun activities at work whilst also inspiring healthier lifestyles and raising money for a fantastic charity, which is pioneering research into issues that can affect us all.”
