AIREDALE Chemical has recruited a human resources advisor.
Emma Plummer has nine years’ experience in HR, including in engineering and manufacturing.
Previously the Cross Hills chemical manufacturer has relied on outsourced support.
Emma is currently involved in the company’s appointment of a dye lab apprentice.
“Apprenticeships are a wonderful way into work and I can already see the team here is passionate about training-up younger generations,” she said.
“I’m looking forward to working closely with the directors to fully implement the scheme, alongside other initiatives and workshops to support employees.”
Managing director, Chris Chadwick, said enhancing the firm’s HR department was “an important step” in the development of the business.
“Previously the directors have played a large role in recruitment but they’re now free to concentrate on more strategic focuses,” he added.
