Students and staff at a Keighley school raised more than £200 for Epilepsy Action with a day of activities.
Beechliffe School staged the event last Thursday to tie in with an international day of epilepsy awareness.
Students paid £1 to dress in purple, and were also able to get snacks at a special cafe. Other activities included T-shirt designing, cake decorating and arts and crafts. Staff member Patricia McGinn made a cake for a raffle.
School spokesman, James Moorhouse, said that Epilepsy Action carried out a range of activities including specialist training for GPs, nurses and social workers.
“This charity sometimes goes unnoticed so we wanted to do something to help it,” he said.
The Epilepsy Action day raised £374 for the charity.
