Pupils’ enthusiasm for gardening at Crossflatts Primary School has been fuelled by British Gas.
A team of volunteers from the energy giant visited the school to help the children carry out various tasks around the grounds.
The visitors spent the morning teaching the youngsters how to grow snowdrops before planting in pots and gardens around the school entrance. Plants were donated by the nearby Homebase store.
A school spokesman said: “We are extremely grateful for the valuable contributions made by British Gas and Homebase.”
