TOP-performing students at Oakbank School have been rewarded for their achievements.
Leading pupils from each year group were treated to a free lunch, and the top 13 from across the school had afternoon tea with their parents and were presented with certificates and prizes.
Students from the school's accelerated readers programme were also rewarded – there were pizza lunches, and for the top 40 from years seven and eight, a trip to the Picture House in Keighley to see How to Train Your Dragon 2. Overall 'stars' Zara Bell, of year seven, and Rimsha Khatoon from year eight each won an e-reader.
"It is fantastic to be able to celebrate our students' success – we feel it is extremely important to acknowledge their achievements throughout their time at school," said Hannah Borkala, Oakbank's event and marketing officer.
"This year alone over 800 students have received some form of recognition for their commitment and hard work and we are very proud."
