A calendar which features photographs produced by Keighley school pupils has raised hundreds of pounds for a local good cause.
The photos were taken by members of University Academy Keighley’s Walking and Photography group.
These students presented Andrew Wood, from Sue Ryder Manorlands, with a cheque for £250 which was raised from sales of the 2014 calendar.
The students take part in walks around local beauty spots with academy staff each week to help broaden their knowledge of where they live. They decided to put their photos of local scenes to good use by turning them into a calendar.
Peter Clayton, leader of the key stage four Learning Support unit at the school, said: “We are really pleased with the success of the calendar and the hard work of everyone involved.”
He added that a group of about eight to nine students were responsible for taking the photographs and choosing the best images for inclusion.
"We had 100 calendars printed and we sold them all," he said. "These were sold to mums, dads, and members of staff. We were very happy with the amount we raised, and we'll probably make another calendar this year."
He said the 2014 calendar was printed by local firm Raiseprint, which is based in Royd Way.
